The life of a stray dog is hard. No home, no protection, no one to care for them – alone on the streets. It becomes even more heartbreaking when the stray is just a tiny puppy.
Exactly such a little dog lived in the middle of Serbia, among rocks and garbage. Her only comfort in the cold: an old, discarded shoe she curled up inside. No mother, no siblings, no one.
This is where _Goran Marinkovic_ comes in – a man from Serbia who dedicates himself wholeheartedly to stray animals. He currently feeds over 100 dogs, all out of his own pocket.
"I rescue animals threatened by death because they live on the streets. I care for them because I love them," he said. "I feed abandoned animals who get no food from people and have no owners. Their numbers keep growing."
