In 2013, actor Chris Salvatore moved onto the same floor as Norma Cook, who was 85 at the time. At first they only exchanged greetings – but after Chris properly introduced himself one day, the two became close friends surprisingly fast.

Over the years a real, cross-generational friendship grew. But Norma's health became more and more fragile – and at some point it became clear she would soon need round-the-clock care.
