Blind kitten breaks into another cat's pen – determined to become his best friend

Earlier this year, Gianna and Gab – sisters and co-founders of the rescue «Foster the Furbabies» – saved a tiny kitten in desperate need of help. Her eyes were so severely infected that they couldn't be saved. In surgery, they had to be removed.

But despite everything, the little one's spirit never faded. After the operation she bounced back with a hearty appetite and a renewed zest for life. Though now blind, the kitten – named Billie – refused to let anything dim her joy. All she wanted was love, and a friend to share it with.

Billie's little purr engine never seemed to stop running. She made «biscuits» with her paws out of contentment, rolled onto her back at mealtime to beg for belly rubs, and filled the room with her playful antics.

Astonishingly quickly, she learned to explore her world through sound and scent. She chased toys, found her food bowl and mapped her surroundings with remarkable confidence. The only thing still missing was a constant playmate.
